The Tartan Devils’ Third Annual Winter Classic was held on Saturday February 20th. The Tartan Devils Football Club (TDFC), a Pittsburgh adult soccer club, consists of professional, community oriented men and women who are dedicated to bring their knowledge and passion for soccer to Western Pennsylvania. Every year, the club holds a Winter Classic tournament to benefit a selected organization. CameroonFDP was honored to be involved this year.
The event was held at Highmark Stadium on a beautiful Pittsburgh day. There were 4 teams with over 40 players, resulting in some exciting games. Friends and family were also there cheering on the players and enjoying the nice weather.
CameroonFDP also sold Cameroonian jewelry, gifts, and t-shirts. Many players donated their soccer balls and cleats, filling up a whole collection bin. By the end of the event, the Tartan Devils raised over $1,500 for our players in Cameroon.
