Lauren Robinet and Alex Kirsch, seniors at Avonworth High School, recently completed a Supporters’ Project for CameroonFDP. For their project, they held a bake sale, which took several steps to organize. With the help of their Assistant Principal, they scheduled times and got a cart to sell their baked goods with. The day before the bake sale, Lauren and Alex spent the afternoon baking cupcakes, brownies, and chocolate chip cookies. They even decorated the cupcakes with the colors of the Cameroon flag. When the day of the bake sale arrived, the girls sold the treats to their classmates and collected a significant amount for CameroonFDP.
Lauren and Alex first heard about CameroonFDP through their soccer coach at Avonworth High School. Last year, the girls collected supplies and raised money as part of their graduation project. They were even featured on several news channels for their hard work. Even though they completed their graduation project, Lauren and Alex still wanted to be involved with CameroonFDP because it’s something they feel very passionate about. Currently, they are planning a spring car wash with another club at their high school to raise money for our players in Cameroon. Thanks girls for your continued support!
