Now that we can’t resume our traditional programming, Open Field CEO, Justin Forzano, and program coordinator, Lucas Godinho, have begun creating a virtual program to engage kids in our target communities, as well as anyone else who wants to join in! In addition, we are still in communication with high school-age Youth Leaders in our two Pittsburgh neighborhoods, to continue with virtual group mentoring.
Our Virtual Program includes weekly videos with conent to engage and connect with kids of all ages, but primarily targeting our youth participants who are in grades 3-8.
Videos shared through Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp include:
- Physical activities
- Life skills challenges
- Follow through reporting to track progress
More information is available on our Virtual Program page.
For us to continue to enhance connections with youth from low resource communities hardest hit by this pandemic, we need your help! Consider making a conrtibution in an amount that is meaningful to you so together we can continue to serve youth through this pandemic and beyond.
Give a little
Give a little
We understand that COVID-19 is impacting people across the globe in very different ways. If you have the means, consider making a larger contribution to ensure greater impact in the lives of our staff and youth during this uncertain time.
Give a lot
After one full year of activities here in Pittsburgh and nearly a decade in Africa, we have always been so fortunate to have the support of this community. Due to COVID-19, we’ve cancelled fundraising events and are depending on your support now more than ever to overcome this massive challenge and see that our programming continues for years to come.
If you’d rather contribute via check, please make payable to ‘Open Field’ and mail to :
