Since it’s inception in 2010 the Cameroon Football Development Program, CFDP, has always placed service to humanity and health concerns as its primary concern. The CFDP management team in Kumba has always offered its voluntary services to the Kumba district health service. Here recently this has been in the form of assisting with nation wide vaccination campaigns. The most recent of these campaigns was for the fight against Poliomyelitis, which was carried out over the course of four days. Together with health workers from the district health service, the CFDP team ensured that youth between 0-5 in our partnering communities received the Polio vaccine. The team hopes to be more involved with the next campaign which is set to begin on the 1st of August, 2014. Through CFDP’s voluntary work with the district health services of Kumba, we hope we can assist in the goal of eradicating Polio in Kumba municipality before 2020.
Our Community: Bringing an end to Polio in Kumba.
