KUMBA COACHES PREPARING FOR THE GIRLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

The entire community is expecting to see and watch the first edition of the girl’s league in the coming months. You can see for yourself how serious the coaches in Kumba are about ensuring the smooth completion of the league. Mobilization for the league has been moving very easily and the entirety of Kumba is anxiously awaiting the first ever all female league to be held in Kumba. The league and tournament was planned to kick off in August of 2014 howeever had to be postponed to later in the year due to a lack of field space. We see this as a great thing, however, because there is so much football going on in Kumba! All three Mayors of the three Kumba Districts have organized their own competitions. We are excited to be a part of all of the football fever in K-town. Our new league will be a nice complement to the development of youth sports and the entire community. For they say “what a man can do a woman can do better” so, the push for gender equality in Kumba begins!
