The numbers for the 2014 Spring semester are in, and they are better than ever! Out of the nineteen teams, twelve are co-ed. The female football players are fiercely running CFDP. Teams GSS Fiango, Diligent, GHS Fiango, BHS, GHS Kumba Mbeng, and Kumba City College all have more girls than boys on their roster. Many of the girls and boys are friends from school or their community. This leads to better competition on the field and more productive group discussions during workshops! While, these numbers are very encouraging we’d like to see more girls represented on teams CCAS Kumba, PHS, GHS Nkamlikum, and Youth Empowerment Center. We’re so proud of the 170 CFDP girls enrolled this semester and we look forward to seeing these numbers grow!
