Open Field staff in Cameroon are working closely with our network of community leaders in 14 neighborhoods in 3 cities in the Southwest and Northwest Regions to educate youth and their families on the importance of physical distancing, proper hand washing, and surface cleaning to minimize exposure and transmission of the coronavirus.
Right now, we are distributing printed information packets that include:
- Prevention methods provided by the World Health Organization
- Exercises with physical activities youth can do inside and beside their home
- Life skills lessons to help youth respond to the psychological impacts of the pandemic
For us to succeed in reaching 1,000 youth participants, and thousands more kids including their brothers and sisters, we need your help! Consider making a monthly contribution to ensure we can continue to serve youth through this pandemic and beyond.
Make a direct impact in one neighborhood
We understand that COVID-19 is impacting people across the globe in very different ways. If you have the means, please consider making a larger contribution in support of our mission today and in the future.
Make a broad impact across 3 cities
After nearly 10 years of operations in Cameroon, funding for our work is in jeopardy unlike ever before. We’ve had to cancel fundraising events and there’s uncertainty in some of our institutional partners. Contact us using the form below if you want to discuss additional ways to support our mission and ensure we continue this work for another decade.
If you’d rather contribute via check, please make payable to ‘Open Field’ and mail to :
