CFDP U 14 tournament finals will be played this weekend following a successful semi finals’ matches played last week end where Brescia defeated Kumba Lakers via penalties after both teams separated on a tie at full time to qualify for the finals against Arsenal. At the semifinals of least weekend, Arsenal defeated Saint Peter following the CFDP Plus Seven points system. They had a draw at full time but lost one mark in the point system because the representative of Saint Peter could not read the motivational statement. This weekend the grand finals will be played at PS Fiango field amidst excitement from the ever enthusiastic youths who have been to every single match all through the entire tournament. It is even a mix blessing as they youths are on holidays so rallying support for their clubs will be their sole drive come Sunday, May 31st.
Privileged to reach the finals, both coaches share their aspirations a couple of days to the finals. Brescia head coache; Atangana Modest, confesses that though he is determined to win the converted trophy, he is very nervous for fear of a repeated past experience. He has played the finals twice and lost both times. He hopes that this time around, the god of CFDP youth football tournament will listen to his cry. Meanwhile, Henry Ebika; Head coach of Arsenal FC; has his own experience to share. His inexperience and first time excitement makes him even more nervous. CFDP team both internal and external wishes them good luck.
